Dr. Luke Shows His Sensitive Side, In Illustrated Form

Whether the #FreeKesha movement has successfully pressured Sony to drop Dr. Luke during his publicized legal battle with Kesha is still speculation, but that hasn’t prevented fans/feminists/equalists to rejoice on twitter. The #SonyIsDroppingDrLukeParty hashtag provided a hilarious onslaught of memes after new rumors about Dr. Luke surfaced online.

“This is not true. Luke has an excellent relationship with Sony,” Dr. Luke’s attorney, Christine Lepera, said in a statement to the Los Angeles Times.

“Imagine if you or somebody you loved was publicly accused of a rape you knew they didn’t do. Imagine that.” Dr. Luke tweeted on February 22nd. “It’s sad that she would turn a contract negotiation into something so horrendous and untrue.”

It seems like Taylor Swift believes the allegations: she donated $250k ‘in support’ of Kesha’s legal case.

We really want to believe Dr. Luke is innocent and didn’t sexually abuse Kesha, but more and more powerful men in Hollywood are being outed as sexual predators

“Here’s the thing about Ke$ha,” Dr. Luke told Billboard in 2010. “She’s really smart, and she knows some of the stuff is really stupid. So the part of her that knows music and is educated will be like, ‘Really?’ And I’m like, ‘No, if it’s dumb and it’s catchy and it works, it’s cool’.” And you will buy it.

If we were Dr. Luke, we’d set Kesha free ourselves. Why force someone to work with you in a toxic environment? Be a good doctor and find a new patient.
