4 Hurt in Stabbings at The Continental Room

The Continental Room at 115 W. Santa Fe Ave., Fullerton, is a great place to grab a drink, hear a band and mix and mingle.

But for four poor souls just before last call early Sunday, The Continental Room became a place to suffer injuries in bar-fight stabbings. Getting a fix on exactly what happened was complicated for investigators by witnesses to the melee being too drunk, according to a police spokesman. Well, it was before last call.

Fullerton cops got the call around 1:20 a.m. that a fight had broken out at the downtown nightclub.

The four people who were injured–three men and a woman believed to be in their 20s–were taken to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, according to Fullerton Police Sgt. Robert James.

Someone was detained, but it's unclear whether that person had anything to do with the stabbing. No suspect information has been released about whoever did the stabbing. Many people who could be witnesses were drunk and of little help, James told City News Service.
