Who doesn't love themselves a cheesy sandwich? It's hot, gooey and potentially filled with whatever one can dream up. Bacon? Sure! A fried egg? Why not? College students think they're fun to press with an iron. The thing about grilled cheese is that even when it's basic Velveeta on generic sliced white, it still fills a need.

This amped up version comes from one of our top 5 restaurants from last year. Over the summer, Sessions not only kicked off a second location across from Huntington Beach pier, they expanded their menu for the greater good. Options abounded with “Clean Living” and “Off the Wall” tastes. And this is where our grilled cheese infatuation was discovered.
Cradled in fresh ciabatta loaf, our savory crush is made with muenster, shaved Parm and a curious spread made of marinated artichoke hearts and spinach. We relished every last bite as it oozed out of its bread vessel. Our preferred side would be a pile of Shaka spuds, flash fried and covered in herbs. Near impossible to keep from completely inhaling, we politely shared our crunchy chips. You aren't getting near our grilled cheese, though.
