If you're looking to get your culture on this weekend and Bruno's all sold out, make plans to pay a visit to Grand Central Art Center in downtown Santa Ana. Erase Stigmata, a group art show that takes a look at mental health and the ways it's affected the participants, opens Saturday night. You'd be crazy to miss it! (Zing!)

Cal State Fullerton student Rachel Hillberg explains the show a little further:
Erase Stigma is an arts festival celebrating mental health, and is all about raising awareness and a greater understanding for mental health issues in the community. All of the artists in the show have been touched by such issues either as workers in the industry, in their own lives, or in the lives of a loved one.
Rachel is one of the rad artists participating in the show; she's currently pursuing her Bachelors in Art and hopes to pursue a Masters degree in Art Therapy after graduation. One of her artistic beliefs is “creative self expression is important to an individual's emotional well being”.
Amen to that, sisterpants. Anyone who's ever had to go for a month without painting, cooking, or whatever creative road they travel can definitely relate.
Erase Stigmata runs from July 11 through August 23, 2009 at Grand Central Art Center in Santa Ana. The opening reception is on July 11, 2009 from 7-10pm.
