We received a tip from Instagram beer pal TwoSlow_OC on a new restaurant in Placentia. Formerly Orea Taverna N Wine Bar, the space began an overhaul last month.
Featuring a New American menu, expect a modest selection of plates for lunch, dinner and brunch. Owners Jennifer and Scott Mickelson hinted at a few of the opening beers being served as part of their revolving beverage program: Valiant, Left Coast, Golden Road and Bootlegger's. They'll pair well with tastes such as red snapper, Duroc pork tenderloin, and a shrimp sandwich featuring preserved lemon and watercress.

Their mission statement vision is as follows:

With humble roots, and proven hospitality, success through innovation and hard work we bring to you a concept that supports our hyper-local organic farms, day boat fishermen, micro brew master, and other small businesses for our growing Orange County economy.
We anticipate an opening in the next couple of weeks. Until then, follow their Instagram account at @saltandashoc.
