Amadeus

One more reason to love the '80s is the fact that just about everyone at the time—even teenagers—saw the exceptional, Oscar-winning film Amadeus starring the much forgotten Tom Hulce and the still pretty much remembered F. Murray Abraham, and that Austrian singer Falco penned a rock and roll chart-topping anthem for the long-dead composer. Nowadays, of course, we have Taylor Swift and The Hunger Games, so there’s that. In a timely and apropos move, the Maverick resurrects old Wolfy in a story that “weaves a confrontation between mediocrity and genius into a tale of breathtaking dramatic power.” Keep fighting the good fight, Mavericks.
