Bonfire

As the saying goes, change is good. Just ask any member formerly or currently part of German heavy metal band Bonfire, who recently had a public falling out resulting in a new vocalist–David Reece–and, subsequently (or maybe coincidentally), a solid new album, Glorious. This album takes the best parts from the band’s previous ones–Don't Touch the Light (1986) and Fireworks (1987), for example–and turns them into a streamlined, no-BS works of hard rock. From start to finish, the entire album resembles–and perhaps is a tribute–to classic metal songs written during the genre’s prime.
