‘Tis the season! It’s the week before 4/20, which means it’s time to get your greenery in order and plans made for California’s first legal cannabis holiday. If you don’t know what you’re up to for 4/20, try checking out one of these events first. As they say: “one door leads to another.” Perhaps you’ll find the perfect 4/20 celebration by rubbing elbows with the cannabis community at an industry event. Cannabis Banking: What are my Options?

The new cannabis market has brought plenty of challenges to cannabusinesses. Between learning to manage unnecessarily large sums of cash and staying compliant in this ever-changing legal landscape, everyone has questions– and no one really knows what’s going on. At the very least, however, every cannabis business should have the right to safe cash management and banking. As of now, that’s not the case. But that doesn’t mean there aren’t other options, which is what this event is focused on. Cannabis can be the catalyst that connects us with the present. It can help us open our minds, hearts, and bodies to the human experience and focus in on our mental and physical health. Join Laura Albers, the cannabis researcher and strategist, and Rachel Monique Maskell in a connection circle to share stories, converse about plant medicine, and learn about the benefits and creative ways cannabis can be used today. The group will explore the medicinal effects of cannabis, how it’s processed in the body, methods and doses of consumption. Connect with your community and learn about the plant together.

2018 Q2 Cannabis Caucus Event Series

Join local members and supporters for NCIA’s second Southern California Quarterly Cannabis Caucus of 2018. NCIA’s Quarterly Cannabis Caucuses bring together executive-level industry professionals, policymakers, regulators, and movement leaders to network, learn about emerging topics in the industry, and plug into NCIA’s efforts to advance the industry nationally. NCIA’s Quarterly Cannabis Caucus events are held in the cannabis industry’s 8 most active regions during the first month of each new quarter. Cannabis Concentrate Production Technology Course

This Concentrate Production (CCP) Technology course is designed for those interested in establishing, regulating, designing or operating an extraction facility. During this day-long course, students will be given an in-depth understanding of specific CCP requirements, different types of commercial extraction processes, the chemistry behind the processes, post-extraction processes, identified hazards and recommended controls. This professional training will provide visual images of the equipment needed for this type of business, as well as the processes being discussed. In addition, each student will receive a manual specifically written as a reference for attending.
