It’s been a minute since DeVotchKa’s last studio album— well, seven years since 100 Lovers, and six years since their live album with the Colorado Symphony— but fans of the ethereal four-piece can finally rejoice: their new album This Night Falls Forever is out and the band is touring. They’ve got a string of California dates lined up through the end of the month, so unless you feel like trekking all the way up to the Fonda Theatre next weekend, be sure to snag tickets to the very conveniently located House of Blues in Anaheim. And if fans are worried the band’s sound changed over the years, don’t be. It’s just gotten grander, if that was even possible.
