Steven Pinker, a cognitive scientist who has been named by TIME as one of the ‘100 Most Influential People in the World,’ will speak on Wednesday, Oct. 17, as part of the Chancellor’s Distinguished Speaker Series.
Steven Pinker is a provocative speaker recognized internationally for his inspiring and comprehensive inquiries on language, how the mind works, and other fundamental issues in society. His talk will draw upon themes about the positive impacts of science in today’s society from his most recent book, Enlightenment Now: The Case for Reason, Science, Humanism and Progress, which has been on The New York Times Bestseller Lists for several weeks.
