Each of our lives is unique. However, there is one thing we all have in common: we do not know the end of our own stories. For many, the topic of death has been off-limits. The time has come to ask ourselves and the medical community the following questions
- What can we do to help create a fitting end to our story?
- How do we best extend compassionate care to those reaching the completion of their lives?
- Can we create a supportive environment where dignity, comfort and meaning may be found in every lived moment?
Our nation is experiencing a moment of inspired and remarkable cultural change in how we think about and approach the end-of-life. Join us as doctors Shoshana Ungerleider, BJ Miller and Michael Fratkin discuss what it means to live well until the end as we explore the power of our relationship with death and dying. Learn from their unique perspectives, filled with wisdom and knowledge gained from their own lived experiences.
THE EVENING WILL BEGIN WITH A RECEPTION FEATURING A PHOTO EXHIBIT FROM THE FOUNDATION’S “PORTRAITS OF LOVE” PROGRAM. LIGHT SNACKS AND BEVERAGES WILL BE SERVED.
