Democracy, Justice and Impeachment

Sep 22nd • 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm • Denny’s Resturant

Join us for a riveting discussion of local happenings including our featured guests:

* José Trinidad Castañeda III, candidate for Fullerton City Council and organizer for the Sunrise Movement. José is the ProAgua Coordinator at the William C. Velasquez Institute in Los Angeles, where he engages with Latinx and Indigenous communities to promote civic engagement, social and economic justice, as well as sustainable policies. Due to his extensive knowledge on climate action, José played a significant role in the creation of the Los Angeles County Sustainability Master Plan.

* Rich Procida is an author, attorney, and activist who writes about religion and politics for LAProgressive.com and ModernLectionaries.blogspot.com. He also produces a podcast called “Bible Study for Progressives” and is a national leader with By the People, a group that is part of a coalition of groups, which include Progressive Democrats of America, Indivisible, and Move On, that is working to pressure Congress to begin formal impeachment proceedings against President Trump. He will address Democratic, liberal, and progressive objections to moving forward with impeachment now at this time in history before it is too late.

Our chapter organizes for Bernie as well as supports local candidates and causes.

There will be a recommended $10 food and drink purchase to help us secure the meeting space. Let’s break bread and learn more about how we can improve our neighborhood.
