EarthFest is the Irvine Ranch Outdoor Education Center’s flagship 10th anniversary event this September. EarthFest will be a day long festival, open to the public, and will show community partner commitment at our Eco-Booths area to the concepts and lifestyles of sustainability practices. We will incorporate nature hikes, compost lessons, gardening fresh vegetables, and it will aim to be zero waste.

The mission of the IROEC is to serve all youth of Orange County by providing quality outdoor educational programs that instill in them an appreciation of the outdoors and the environment, teach effective teamwork, instruct about the cultural history of Orange County, and provide access to the natural resources of the surrounding areas. We serve 40,000 people annually.

At EarthFest, you will see the best of what IROEC has to offer including special activities like: mini therapy horses, a geode hunt, the OC Fair Centennial Farm,  “Wonders of Wildlife”, compost workshops, beekeeping demos with a honey harvest, climate science, food forest exploration, fiber arts with natural dyes, soap making, tie dye, “Leave No Trace” with REI, “Creation Care” with Plant with Purpose and Health for All, a zip line, a rock wall, archery, puppet shows,  soul food on wheels, and face painting.
