Join Fairhaven Memorial Park for its 25th annual Easter Sunrise Service, “I am the Bread of Life,” on Sunday, April 21 at 6:00 a.m. Families and community members are invited to hear an uplifting Easter message and beautiful music by the Praise Symphony Orchestra and Calvary Church Celebration Choir, with special guest soloist Emily Alvarez.
The highlight of this years’ program will include wax figures of the 12 disciples that were made for Alan Parkinson when he owned Movieland Wax Museum in Buena Park. He had them created for a display to be exhibited in the “Palace of Living Art.” The Wax Museum was sold, and the display was never exhibited – but Fairhaven is bringing it back for everyone to see! On Easter, at the center of the table, will be a live “Jesus” who will not move until the very end when he will stand-up at the end of the final song, arms outstretched coinciding with a release of doves.
For children, there will also be a visit from the Easter Bunny.
Gates open at 5:30 a.m. The service takes place in front of Fairhaven’s historic mausoleum. Light refreshments will be served.
