Hari Kondabolu brings his stand-up to headline Brea Improv on Sunday, April 28. Hari is a Brooklyn-based comedian and writer hailed as “one of the most exciting political comics in stand-up today” (The New York Times) and he has performed on Comedy Central, Conan, Jimmy Kimmel Live, The Late Show with David Letterman and was a writer and correspondent for the critically acclaimed series Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell. Hari was named in Variety’s prestigious “10 Comics To Watch” list, his new Netflix stand-up special “Warn Your Relatives” made a number of Best Of lists and his documentary, “The Problem with Apu”, about the stereotypical character on The Simpsons, created a LOT of conversation which continues to this day.
A very popular stand-up, Hari has sold out headlining tours, performed at festivals all over North America and released chart-topping comedy albums including this debut Waiting For 2042 and the follow up Mainstream American Comic. He is also a public radio favorite with regular guest spots on shows including Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me, Morning Edition, All Things Considered and more.
