For Aquarium of the Pacific's Voices on the Veranda series, guests are invited to enjoy their summer weeknights chilling out at the Aquarium's rooftop veranda after hours to enjoy drinks, treats, and music set along the Rainbow Harbor sunset. Onstage tonight: some scintillating Latin jazz supplied by the venerable Scott Martin and his Latin Soul Jazz Collective. Martin's a world-wide touring vet, who's more than earned his stripes playing alongside musical heavyweights like Ray Charles and Billy Preston as well as Grammy-winning musician Poncho Sanchez. Credits aside, Martin and company lay down some hypnotic, pulsating rhythms fed by the Collective's colorful percussion, bass lines and horn section. Get to know this dynamic crew, feeding you an entrancing musical style not normally heard in these parts.
