“Tending the Temple” to practice healthier self, families, and community

WHO: Second Baptist Church, 96 year old Orange County church, and co-sponsors: The G.R.E.E.N. Foundation, 100 Black Women, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Journey Evangelical Church, the Clarion Call Breast Cancer Ministry, and the office of Senator Tom Umberg

WHAT: 5th Annual SBC Community Health Fair. We anticipate over 250 participants to visit the screeners and vendor, and enjoy family fun activities including self-defense presentations, youth dancers, exercise challenges, and an Omega Psi Phi Fraternity step show

WHEN: Saturday, May 18, 2019 10:00 a.m. until 2 p.m.

WHERE: Campus of Second Baptist Church of Santa Ana (SBC), 4300 Westminster Ave, Santa Ana 92703

WHY: To champion productive health advocacy, wellness practices, and to inform, educate, and call-to-action individuals, families, and communities to support “Tending the Temple,” SBC hosts the 5th annual free Community Health Fair. Potential activities include free confidential testing and screenings for blood pressure, diabetes, and prostate awareness; an “Ask the Doctor” booth; CPR demonstrations, weight-related measuring BMI (body mass index), and other vendors on nutrition, mental health, HIV/AIDS, and Johnson & Johnson vision education. Also, free haircuts for men and boys while available! If interested in vendor opportunities please contact sbc-health@sbc.family.
