Dec 16th • 11:00 am - 2:00 pm • Ocean Institute

MEET IN FRONT OF BRIG PILGRIM TALL SHIP. Avast, ye scurvy dogs! Celebrate the 200th anniversary of the attack on San Juan Capistrano by Hippolyte Bouchard by joining Captain Will Radford on a pirate sea cave adventure! Participants are encouraged to dress and talk like a pirate on a rugged journey from the jetty to the historic “Point. Hear tall tales of buccaneers, sea monsters and buried treasure. Search for mysterious creatures in the tide pools. Marvel at the steep cliffs where loose boulders await unsuspecting visitors. Arrive at a hidden sea cave with a secret entrance through a narrow slot filled with knee-high water. Bring full meal in a backpack to enjoy at the cave. Expect to get your feet wet. And remember, dead men tell no tales… Uneven, rocky and slippery terrain. Roughly a mile round-trip. Not appropriate for those with mobility issues.
