Rose's Pawn Shop

Legend has it that singer-songwriter Paul Givant's scorned ex-girlfriend Rose tried to sell his band's instruments and equipment at the local pawn shop, thus inspiring the name for his band Rose's Pawn Shop. The LA band have since moved on to form their own brand of Americana, bluegrass and folk music with lyrics that delve deep into subjects like love, loss, and heartache, earning them nation-wide acclaim and even a Grammy nomination. Likewise, fellow folk group Ted Z and the Wranglers from Costa Mesa merge folk and blues through contemporary indie sensibilities, giving them a cool country edge not often heard in these parts. Tonight they are joined by folk-rock duo Skin and Bones to round out the night's lively line-up.
