The Ecology Center and Guayakí have joined together to host a “Come To Life” film series. The series of short films, by filmmaker Cyrus Sutton, encourages viewers to take action by spotlighting community figures who are living their passions while creating positive change for the planet. This screening event is free to attend and suitable for all ages. Please RSVP here.
5:30 PM – Doors open. Light snacks and Guayakí Yerba Mate beverages will be provided.
6:00 PM – Panel discussion with Evan Marks, Cyrus Sutton, and Guayakí media director Madison Olson.
6:30 PM – Film screening begins, followed by Q+A.
Please bring a low-back chair or a blanket, light snacks will be provided but, please feel free to bring a picnic – make sure to leave the single-use plastics at home. Street parking is available, please park on Camino Del Avion.
ABOUT THE FILMS
Directed by filmmaker Cyrus Sutton, Guayakí’s “Come To Life” Film Series features people and subjects that uplift local communities. All of Sutton’s “Come To Life” films focus on artists and innovators who are working to improve their communities. This film features The Ecology Centers’ founder and Executive Director, Evan Marks. Set among the lush greenery and rustic charm of a historic farmhouse and surrounding farmland, the six-minute film explores Evan’s work in agro-ecology and permaculture, The Ecology Center’s transformation into an ecological oasis, and the founding principles that continue to guide him.
