The Festival Singers, led by Artistic Director Gary Toops and pianist Carol Roman presents a varied program ranging from the classical to spiritual and gospel to contemporary. It includes Gabriel Fauré’s Cantique de Jean Racine, Robert Ray’s He Never Failed Me Yet, John Rutter’s The Lord is My Shepherd featuring Melissa Carrigan on oboe and Ben E. King’s Stand by Me. Mezzo-soprano Lisa Naulls is the featured guest soloist. She is widely acclaimed for her beautiful rich voice and her exciting interpretations of spirituals and gospel music. She is joined by tenor Jason Francisco in The Prayer by Carole Bayer Sager. Following the concert is a reception with delicious desserts.

Ms. Naulls has been a member of the Los Angeles Chamber Singers and the Albert McNeil Jubilee Singers and has toured the United States, Asia, Israel, Europe, and South America. She has sung with symphony orchestras in Berlin, Hawaii and Vienna. She has been a featured soloist in Verizon Amphitheater, Segerstrom Center for the Arts, Hollywood Bowl and Carnegie Hall; and has played leading roles in The Marriage of Figaro, The Magic Flute, Die Fledermaus, Amahl and The Night Visitors, and Porgy and Bess. She has participated in CD recordings such as Barbra Streisand’s Higher Ground and Larry Farrow’s Star in the East. She is vocal coach in Laguna Niguel.
