Rosé all day? Puh-lease. This is the California Wine Festival, and it’s anything but basic. Start off on Friday with the ultra-fancy Sunset Rare & Reserve Tasting event, where guests (those that manage to get any of the limited tickets anyway) can enjoy sips of “hard-to-find trophy wines” while gazing at the Pacific. Also, there’s a dress code for this one, so come in whatever you’d wear if you were going to be in the background of a Real Housewives cocktail party/fight scene. Saturday is the Beachside Wine Fest at Lantern Bay Park, which is a little more casual, and guests can choose samples from hundreds of wines (and beers) available, plus a ton of food. That is, unless you drank too much trophy wine the night before.
Guests are invited sip on fine wines and taste a variety of delicacies surrounded by the ocean at the beautiful Dana Point Yacht Club. This is an elegant VIP event for true fine wine lovers, located in one of Orange County’s most beautiful coastal cities – Dana Point. The limited number of tickets sell out quickly (due to the rarity of the wines being poured). A champagne reception is just the prelude to an evening of sampling hard-to-find trophy wines to an adoring crowd dressed in their finest casual/elegant resort wear.
