Hamish Linklater’s The Vandal surrounds three main characters, among them two strangers— a woman and a teenaged boy— who meet waiting at a bus stop at night near a cemetery. While they wait for the bus, a liquor store owner around the corner awaits a package coming in the mail. This seemingly mundane plot gets eerier and stranger as it goes along, and each character grows closer together in a bizarre twist of fate. The Vandal touches upon themes such as life and mortality through an extraordinary arc with comedy and creepy thrills. Catch it in previews today, starting its regular round of performances on September 27.
