2019 is going to be the Year of the Pig so it’s time to go hog wild at the annual Lunar New Year Festival! For the 38th annual event, organized by the Union of Vietnamese Student Associations, there’s going to be the same levels of Vietnamese cultural celebration that regular attendees have come to love. That means contests, musical performances, ceremonies, the Culture Village (a replica of an authentic Vietnamese village with exhibits, galleries, and models of Vietnamese architecture, as well as folks dressed in traditional costumes and guard uniforms), the Miss Vietnam of Southern California pageant, and, of course, delicious authentic cuisine. If ever there was a time to be a pig, well that time is now.
Event hours: Friday, Feb. 8, 4-10 p.m.; Saturday, Feb. 9, 11 a.m.-10 p.m.; Sunday, Feb. 10, 11 a.m.-9 p.m.
$6 general admission; free for children 2 & younger. Parking is $9
