Fish Camp in Huntington Beach Now Serving Breakfast

Brekkie is my favorite meal of the day. Pork products, eggs and potatoes are the best reasons to get up in the morning. Fish? Sure!

I drove up PCH in Huntington Beach last week for a low-key seafood meal. We dined at Fish Camp,
which has a chill, fast-casual concept seen at places such as Pei Wei.
Orders are placed at the counter, seating location is up to you,
beverages are unlimited and accessible, and your server makes a beeline
to your exact table once the order is up. I was already a fan of its
extensive menu, so imagine my surprise when I spotted signage
advertising brekkie coming soon.

While the menu was not quite confirmed when I inquired, I did manage to verify most of the selection with management. Standard fare pancakes, smoked bacon and benedicts are offered. What merits a visit is the seafood: crab omelet or a bagel with fresh lox. Carnivores are appeased with a steak-and-eggs option.  For lighter appetites, stick to the parfaits, oatmeal and specialty coffees. Are you recovering from a looooong evening? There isn't a full bar, but Bloody Marys and mimosas are definitely offered.

Fish Camp started the early-morning hours this past weekend. Saturday and Sundays, it opens at 7 a.m. and serves until 1 p.m. Between noon and 1 p.m., both brekkie and lunch menus are offered. Other features include free wifi (ask a server for the username and password) and a fish counter for folks wanting to cook up seafood from the comfort of their own kitchen. Afterward, cruise down to the pier for a stroll, and you've got yourself the makings of a lazy Sunday.
