Emo fans have a few choices as far as concerts go on this particular Sunday. But for those with discriminating tastes who appreciate the genre's nascent sound, Japandroids might be the hip ticket. This Canadian duo plays fuzzy, impassioned, albeit whiny rock tunes in the vein of defunct superstar mid-western emo band Braid. And while Japandroid's Wikipedia and Myspace pages list the band's genre as garage rock, we find it interesting that they're signed to Braid's label, Illinois' Polyvinyl Record Co.
