Maestro of the Movies

Winner of five Oscars, four Golden Globes and 21 Grammys, John Williams is the most recognized film and television composer in history. As creator of the scores for films such as Fiddler on the Roof, the original Star Wars trilogy, the only Superman worth seeing, and the iconic Jaws theme in which two alternating notes (F and F sharp) struck terror in the hearts of millions (and went to #32 on the Billboard Charts), the 81-year-old Williams has no cinematic equal. He’s joined at this benefit concert by the Pacific Symphony and violinist Bing Wang, who, in addition to raising funds for the orchestra’s community engagement programs, hope to propel you into breathtaking worlds of fantasy, thrilling lands of adventure and sentimental suburban forests of heartlights.
