The indie pop four piece from Southern California are a force to be reckoned with, musically of course. The flurry of elements Max and the Moon incorporate come together as one in an energetic orchestra of piano, drum rolls, vocal harmonies, peppy hand claps and dueling guitars: think Arcade Fire but half the number of members. Each of their songs perfectly crescendos into the next, presenting you with more than music but a fantastic aural experience. Luckily, if you don't want to catch them just once, you'll be glad to know they're doing a residency at the constellation room every monday this month. But don't wait, see them tonight.
