Bringing out feisty liberal Congressman Barney Frank (D-MA) several weeks ago was just the warm up act of Rep. Loretta Sanchez's efforts to excite her Democratic voter base in central Orange County where Republican challenger Van Tran is hoping to pull an upset.
Sanchez is bringing in arguably the biggest Democratic gun there is: Bubba.
Yes, Bill Clinton is scheduled to appear at a Sanchez campaign rally this month.
The 3 p.m. October 15 event is set for the Old Orange County Courthouse
in Santa Ana, probably the one local spot where the former president is
still exceptionally popular.
Both campaigns admit pre-election voter polling show a narrow race for a congressional seat now occupied by OC's lone Democrat.
One of the last women Clinton campaigned for lost to an underdog, Barack Obama.
Will Tran respond with appearances by George W. Bush or George H.W. Bush?

R. Scott Moxley’s award-winning investigative journalism has touched nerves for two decades. An angry congressman threatened to break Moxley’s knee caps. A dirty sheriff promised his critical reporting was irrelevant and then landed in prison. The U.S. House of Representatives debated his work. Federal prosecutors credited his stories for the arrest of a doctor who sold fake medicine to dying patients. Moxley has won Journalist of the Year honors at the Los Angeles Press Club; been named Distinguished Journalist of the Year by the LA Society of Professional Journalists; and hailed by two New York Times Magazine writers for his “herculean job” exposing Southern California law enforcement corruption.
