National Theatre Live – Travelling Light

Theatre may not be a complete loser, but she’s definitely a nerdy wall flower compared to her flashy, big-budgeted cousin, Film. So it's not a huge surprise that Theatre has taken a page from Film’s popular playbook and begun to tape live performances, airing them simultaneously on silver screens all over the world. London’s National Theater Live is broadcasting Nicholas Wright's story of cinema's pre-Golden Age this week in high def on the big screen, allowing you to catch some of the most talked-about performances from across the pond, right in your own back yard. Did Theatre just get a Hollywood-style makeover, or what? Now she’s totally datable. Like Freddie Prinze Jr. dateable.
