Debuting earlier than planned, Sessions Huntington Beach coincided with the Vans US Open of Surfing. What better place to conquer your hunger at the beach? Prime real estate has our second favorite restaurant facing Pacific Coast Highway, a crosswalk away from the pier.

Designed with the same cool vibe, diners may recognize familiar faces while in line. A panorama of locals wrap around the dining room like crown molding. Surf flicks are faintly projected on one wall, while floor-to-ceiling windows flood the space with sunlight. Perch along here for perfect people-watching.
Even more inviting than their Newport original, this gem includes a much-needed, full-sized kitchen. What are the advantages to that? For starters, breakfast served all day! Menu expansion was a bonus, with a dedicated salad selection and “Clean Living” options to suit all tastes.
The one bite we couldn't get enough of: grilled cheese utilizing Muenster, shaved Parm, spinach and marinated artichoke heart spread. For more heat, request their Gagnam style, a Korean-Italian hybrid of spicy “marinara”, pickled vegetables soy-sesame slaw and pork and beef meatballs. A tray of Shaka spuds are mandatory, and feel free to experiment with their newest carbonated selections. We're still on the fence with black cherry with tarragon and lemon berry acai flavors.
Open daily from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. (closing at 8 p.m. on Sundays), this new kid fits right in with the neighborhood. Our quest to plow through that breakfast menu is still a work in progress, but we're ready for that McSession.
