On March 21, Restauration and chef Phil Pretty will host a Friends of James Beard dinner, a one-night only event benefiting the James Beard Foundation, a New York-based organization that provides chef advocacy training, scholarships for culinary students and educational initiatives.

Chef Pretty and his culinary team will welcome guests for a five-course meal featuring freshly harvested ingredients primarily sourced from Organic Harvest Gardens, Restauration’s 1,000-square-foot farm where nearly 50% of all their produce is grown.

“Restauration exemplifies our mission to make America’s food culture more delicious, diverse, and sustainable for everyone,” says Michelle Santoro, Senior Manager, Scholarships, of the James Beard Foundation. “They have a very local and seasonal focus, which we always love to highlight.”

That commitment to farm-to-table dining will translate to intriguing dishes like octopus with shelled beans, house chorizo, spring garlic, grilled scallions and charred lime. The dinner takes place March 21 at 6:30 p.m., with live music and wine cocktails upon arrival by Jardesca Apperitiva, in addition to the wine pairing included with dinner. Cheers to a lovely dinner with a great cause!

Restauration is located at 2708 E. Fourth St., Long Beach and tickets are $85 for Beard Members and $100 for GA. For more information call (562) 439-8822 or visit restaurationlb.com.
