Street Life

Fullerton’s largest cultural smorgasbord turns 44 years-old this year and city officials have decided it’s time for a facelift. Ironically, this means anchoring the event in the oldest part of the city. This year, “A Night in Fullerton” continues its celebration of music, dance, fine art and community pride on the streets of the city’s historic downtown area. Creative expression of the past and present collide in a brilliant explosion of local color and sound from 5-9 p.m. Spend all evening diving headlong into feverish jazz jam sessions at the legendary Fox Theater, the avant garde artistic sensations of the newly-opened Hibbleton Gallery and everything in between. Not to mention the lip smacking assortment of festival food. And in a merciful attempt to spare your gas money, the event’s 12 participating venues are located mostly within walking distance of each other. Guests looking for family fun or pre-pub crawling activities will find plenty of entertainment in this festival of artistic offerings.
