Identity Management Group and Insomniac Events Create an EDM Power Merger in OC

Halloween is another excuse to dress up as your favorite characters while sneaking in an extra concert, festival or club night of partying to your favorite music. It seems like venues and promoters are using holidays these days to turn it into a week-long of festivities rather than the typical long weekend a la Memorial and Labor Day. Las Vegas has been doing it in the EDM scene and now it looks like OC is following suit. Identity Management has teamed up with Insomniac Events (founders of EDC) and other local promoters to bring you seven days of spooky celebrations at Sutra in Costa Mesa.

Halloween isn't until next Wednesday, but the celebrations begin tonight with a line-up for every night of the week until All Hallows Eve that is sure to satisfy your EDM needs without even having to ponder attending Monster Massive. The posh lounge will be transformed by various haunted themes and fantasies as some of the world's best DJs provide the soundtrack. Even DJ R3hab's Facebook profile picture announces his “USA Halloween Tour” which includes stops in Vegas, Hallofreaknween Festival in Denver and Sutra tonight. R3hab is sure to kick-start the chainsaw madness of hard-hitting electro and progressive house which out-shined Afrojack on many of their tour dates this year. For house addicts tonight will be the perfect rehab as the DJ fittingly born Fadil El Ghoul kicks off the festivities with opening sounds by Adam Auburn & Darwin Paul, Darreen Correa and Audiostache.

Besides announcing that Armin Van Buuren would be headlining Escape from Wonderland this year after his win as the DJ Mag Top 100 DJ in the world, we noticed the trance lineup is almost non-existent at most of the rest of the Halloween massives including HARD Day of the Dead. For those disappointed trance family fans – have no fear because tomorrow ATB comes back to his Sutra residency and kicks off a weekend of some legendary trance talent in Orange County. André Tanneberger, or better known as ATB, blends his unique style of trance, house and electro which the OC crowd is delightfully used to at “Element Thursdays.” Opening DJs include Sutra favorite ANDR3X, Andre Vannes and Johnson.

On Friday night, Sutra and the Till Dawn Group will recreate the 2012 comedy Project X to bring you “the party you've only dreamed about.” This wild Halloween soirée will feature sounds by Fortune Music's DJ Sanjay with opening support from DJ RE-DAK and DJ Kay-G. Playing everything from hip hop, house to rock the San Diego native Sanjay is a local favorite DJ selector in OC and always brings the party. With a hosted bar from 9-10pm, drink specials all night long, red cups and beer pong tables not only is the TDG trying to get you tipsy, but wanting you to have a crazy filled party evening. Expect everything from blow-up dolls, midgets, piñatas and confetti cannons.

On Saturday they take an EDM break for the Lalita Halloween Ball (knowing dance music lovers will most likely be at a major festival or EDM club night in LA), but the trance continues on Sunday and Tuesday as Ferry Corsten and Markus Schulz make a highly anticipated appearance in OC. The Dutch DJ and producer Ferry Corsten will debut songs from his new album WKND as he brings his signature mix of house and trance. Markus Schulz is also on his Scream album tour and will be sure to ear-f*ck us with his progressive trance style. Who knows the unicorn slayer might even surprise us and play an open to close set on a Tuesday night.

Lastly, if you really want to give the middle finger to your entire week and celebrate Halloween in true party fashion Michael Woods will be at Sutra on All Hallows Eve, playing some creepy techno and progressive house. Coming off the epic tech stage at Insomniac's Escape from Wonderland the UK DJ fuses all genres of electronic music playing bangers that keeps the party going while directing you into one spooky Halloween evening full of getting down on the dance floor. The Sutra week of madness encourages you to wear costumes and partake in the carousing. See the full roster of events below.
