Daily life for Adelynn “Addie” Shaddix is different than most four year-olds. Since recently being diagnosed with Leukemia, life has been a series of uphill battles–struggles with the early stages of treatment, the pain of an illness that’s hard to understand when all you want to do is go outside and play. It’s times like these that truly test a family. However, the Shaddix’s refused to take their struggle lying down.
Since her diagnosis, in addition to garnering support from family and friends donating time, food and money toward covering loss of income, parents Chris and Adessa Shaddix have taken to social media to chronicle their child’s journey day by day as she fights for her life as well as creating a GoFundMe page for those who wish to help with medical bills. There are always good days and bad days, but tomorrow night, those who support the Shaddix family are preparing for a huge win for Addie.
This Saturday at Tint Pros in Huntington Beach, Addie’s Battle Benefit Night will host supporters of the Shaddix family as well as local car and music enthusiasts looking to have fun and contribute to a great cause. Organized by Tint Pros owner Greg Earl, companies from Orange County are getting involved and will be here in support with give-a-ways.
There will also be amazing items at the silent auction to bid on and cars of all kinds on display; classics, exotics, trucks and sports cars. The list is growing quickly, please RSVP to help organizers with a head count. The benefit is free to attend. The night’s musical guests include progressive pop band Cosmos & Creature and singer-songwriter Joe Nuttall of LA rock band Enola Fall.
All items donated for the silent auction must be in to The Tint Pros office by 10/6/18 (16582 Gothard St #Q, Huntington Beach, CA 92647)
