Which is Cheaper: Walgreens or Rite Aid?

Answer: Rite Aid.

–That's according to records in an ongoing Orange County civil suit that show Illinois-based Walgreens was willing to annually pay $936,000 plus a percentage of sales for 10 years at a proposed 13,000-square-foot store on Pacific Coast Highway and Dover in a ritzy section of Newport Beach. Pennsylvania-based Rite Aid sought to pay at least $300,000 less per year for the same location.
