Why Palm Springs’ Splash House is the Hottest Party This Weekend

Music and swimsuits–these are the two components that make Palm Springs is the hottest place to be this weekend as the popular annual wet and wild three-day Dance festival, known as Splash House makes its return, brought to you by Goldenvoice.

Connecting three luxurious hotels within a two mile radius, accompanied by shuttle, party goers can enjoy the amenities of multi-venues throughout the day and party the night away at hosted after hours program of a pair of open air parties back-dropped by vintage aircrafts and the glowing airport tarmac inside Palm Springs Air Museum. All while enjoying the hottest new music by many of today’s trendsetting DJs.

A line up of 40 of the hottest acts in today’s Dance along with a few surprises for festival goers partying poolside at Palm Springs’ iconic hotels. This year’s lineup features headliners Duke Dumont, Zhu’s newly launched Blacklizt, and What So Not. Including sets from popular dance acts Chris Lake, Dusky (DJ Set), Justin Martin, and The Magician. 

“There are so many amazing artists playing this year, ” says Autograf when asked about his fellow festival performers. “Nora En Pure and SNBRN (both of the other headliners for the late night parties) are friends and we can’t wait to party with them. We’re excited to checkout Blacklizt’s set plus a lot of the other acts like Chet Porter, Born Dirty, Hotel Garuda, The Magician, Codes, Duke Dumont, J.Phlip, and EDX.. just to name a few. Really, every act this year is super on point.”

Stacked with plenty buzz worthy sets, show-stealing performances will be hard to judge but very competitive. Aseem from Hotel Garuda identifies a crowd-stealing moment as simply a feeling. “I personally feel like song selection trumps beatmatching but what makes a really special performance is the bond formed with the audience over the span of the set. when it’s really good we feel like an hour passes in what feels like ten minutes.”

Splash House is full of surprises from special guest appearances to premiere of new music that will have festival goers in a frenzy. “Ohhh yeahh! I have three new singles I’m premiering so get ready,” SNBRN confirms.

While some will be introducing new music, others like Duke Dumont, have revealed brand new sets that will include recently released singles. “I’m always doing edits for my sets,” Duke reveals. “Never play the same set twice, so for sure, you’ll be hearing new music. I’ve just released my new single ‘Inhale’ and have made my own version of it for my sets, so you’ll be hearing that. “

Like Duke Dumont, Autograf expect to bring out collaborating musician to perform their new single live. “Our new single “Gravity” with French Horn Rebellion comes out on June 1 and  features a fun keytar solo that you can expect to hear performed live,” Autograf says.

Splash House is the perfect summer destination for travelers eager to party with SoCal’s party elite. Their forward-thinking music programming, fun poolside house vibes (unlike Vegas), and top-notch production make it unique.

With a lot of new music on the way, popular music apps like Shazam will be very beneficial for discovery and encouraged by performers. SNBRN praises the music identifier. “I think that Shazam is truly essential. You find the song you’re looking for right there on the spot. It connects people with new artists everyday and should be encouraged at festivals.”

Splash House will take place at The Riviera, The Saguaro, and The Renaissance in Palm Springs, California. The first edition of the three-day festival kicks off Friday, June 8th ’til Sunday, June 10th on the 1800 block of East Palm Canyon. The 21-and-over festival will run all three dates from Noon to sundown, followed by after-hours from 9 p.m. until 2 a.m (Friday and Saturday night only).
