Forget the same old pub crawl down Main Street—let's step it up a notch this week with the Annual Fall Wine Classic at Nixon Library. More than 50 esteemed wineries from all over the state gather together in Yorba Linda to offer samplings of their best vino for the autumn season. And to soak up all that fancy booze, enjoy tray-passed gourmet hors d'oeuvres from Creme de la Creme, pepper jellies from Chili Gourmet and cheese from Cabot Creamery. The venue? Oh, just a full-size replica of the White House East Room, complete with gold silk draperies, sparkling chandeliers and elegant marble fireplaces. High class, all the way—and so much more appealing than our regular dive bar that smells oddly of hot dogs.
