Admit it: The last time you saw anything resembling ballet, it involved Barbie dolls that you were holding by the hair and flinging about the room. It’s okay. No judgment. Just do us a favor and make the world right again by seeing a real performance. One filled with magic, dresses, invisible cloaks, secrets, castles—like The Twelve Dancing Princesses, a rendition of the classic Brothers Grimm tale.
The production features a very different kind of dirty dozen who tend to wear out their shoes every night, even though it appears they never leave their bedroom! It’s kind of like a Central European Footloose, only with girls instead of Kevin Bacon. And if you can’t get enough after watching this opulent performance, you can always go rent the Barbie version on DVD. You know, for old times’ sake.
