The Orange County Museum of Art re-launches their previously biennial California art show as something with a little more global flair: the California-Pacific Triennial. Featuring artists from countries throughout the Pacific Rim, this exhibit displays a satisfyingly varied approach to art—there are paintings, sculpture, illustration, interactive installations, mixed media and even more. We're especially looking forward to viewing Beijing artist Lin Tianmiao's “All the Same,” a carefully constructed line of synthetic bones and skulls in a dazzling array of Pantone-worthy colors. Organized by OCMA Chief Curator Dan Cameron, the California-Pacific Triennial also spotlights artists from Honduras, Colombia, Thailand, Australia, Mexico, Japan and more. Don't miss the public opening this Sunday.
Wednesdays-Sundays, 11 a.m. Starts: June 30. Continues through Nov. 17, 2013
