While some may spend this weekend out in the desert, there’s another, hazier music festival that’s staying local. Placentia’s own Kottonmouth Kings have an ambitious plan of attack to celebrate one of their favorite calendar dates. The aptly titled 420 Fest takes place on Saturday night, and true to the band’s form, will be providing the soundtrack to every smoker’s favorite holiday. The quintet is bringing a slew of their friends including Dogboy featuring Too-Rude & Imperial Sound Clash, Saint Dogg & Chucky Chuck, Allensworth and others to partake in the evening’s activities. Not to be outdone by the fest, the next day the group releases its first batch of new material since 2012 in the form of a free five-song EP, aptly titled The Buddah Shack. Between these two happenings, fans can celebrate 420 the right way.
