It’s a classic story: You’ve already removed your bra and slipped into your fat pants for the night. You move to the couch, quart of Ben and Jerry’s in hand to watch some classic Housewives-esque girl-on-girl scream-fighting to forget your day and relax. But when you switch to Bravo, Sarah mutha-fuckin McLachlan is singing over pictures of doggies and kitties in a near-death state staring at you with their sad animal eyes. And there it is: evening ruined. Animals need homes, this is a sad truth—but we humans need laughter. That’s why OC’s 4Life Animal Rescue partnered with the Irvine Improv to host a benefit and comedy show aimed at generating funds to find our four-legged friends new forever homes. Featuring comedians Jason Collings, Friendly Frank and more, this performance is sure to have everyone feeling good about an animal adoption event for once. Only tears from laughter are allowed.
