944, the magazine dubbed “the bible for trendsetters” by them and “mostly photoshopped fashion photos and not much content” by us, has closed shop, printing its final issue this month.
The publisher of the free glossy, which had an Orange County edition, filed for bankruptcy last year, and recent efforts to revamp the lifestyle publication fell short of rescuing it.
Desert Living posted a memo from the executive editor announcing the decision to pull the plug.

The Las Vegas edition of the magazine may survive in some form, but all other editions, including OC's, is done. Time to start archiving those soon-to-be vintage copies. Maybe.
