It’s summertime and that means backyard BBQ’s, Surf City Nights in Huntington and concerts in the park. What better treat to bring along than some tasty ice cream with a little infused THC? I purchased Ganjalato Salted Caramel at SCSA, the first SanTana dispensary to go Union! Big props to the owner for providing for his employees a decent wage and benefit package.
I’ve been a member of UFCW 324 since 1982, so I know first hand the advantages of being a union member, especially when I was diagnosed with stage four colorectal cancer in 2011. Fortunately, my union benefits provided me with the best doctors available and I kicked cancer’s ass! SCSA has a great selection of edibles but the ice cream caught my eye. It’s a small container, 100mg of THC, so I asked the budtender if I should eat the whole container.
She answered that if I had a high tolerance eating it all is possible but it’s better to eat some and see where you’re at, high wise. So I decided to share it between three of us and it was a perfect amount. The ice cream itself is very good quality, creamy, the sweet caramel contrasting with the saltiness. There is the THC aftertaste but it isn’t overwhelming at all. We alternated taking small spoonfuls, it took about four to really feel the effect of the THC. After we were finished we decided to walk around Old Towne Orange , window shopping and bar hopping. The sweet buzz lasted a good three hours, it was a highly enjoyable summer dessert. I wonder how it pairs with an edible brownie?
