UPDATE, AUG. 10, NOON: The Santa Ana Police Department reports Carolyn Monty was found safe in Garden Grove. Staff at a rehabilitation facility that contacted Santa Ana detectives to inform she was being treated there for injuries from her fall. The detectives plan to give her a ride home today.

The Santa Ana 82-year-old is missing, according to police.
She was last seen around 10:30 a.m. on Aug. 3 at 1030 W. MacArthur Blvd., Santa Ana.
Police say she told a neighbor she had fallen from a ladder and was going to seek medical attention. Monty then walked toward a security gate facing South Bristol Street and has not been seen or heard from since. She frequents the merchants in that area.
Monty is described as Caucasian, 5-foot-5, 105 pounds, with light brown hair and brown eyes.
