It's spring break season, and while some prefer to lay leisurely on the shore of some handsome beach, others are spending it by getting dirty (and not in that Girls Gone Wild sort of way, you pervs). The Irvine Lake Mud Run, an extreme physical fitness course, takes place today and allows action sport enthusiasts to enter and compete in a 5K course consisting of rolling hills, professionally-built obstacles and, of course, lots of mud to fall face-first in—while kiddies from 2 to 12 also get a chance to compete in their own division race. No need to go home and wash up for the afternoon post-race party with the beer garden, food and outdoor concert; the sudsing station gets you cleaned right up. The best part? All this fun is in the name of benefitting the Blind Start of America foundation.
