It must have been tough for Ziggy Marley to follow in the footsteps of his legendary father. Most music legend offspring don’t even come close to their parent’s greatness—Lisa Marie Presley, Sean Lennon, Kelly Osbourne, you get the idea. But Ziggy has done pretty well for himself and for reggae music. He’s even outdone his dad in some respects: he scored a US Top 40 single with “Tomorrow People,” something Bob never did. And he’s done it all without skimping on the feel-good vibes of his music or his father’s messages of love and equality. The younger Marley knows a good reggae groove when he hears it—after all, he’s got it in his blood.
