Before we get bombarded with unrelenting Christmas music coming at us from the mall, grocery store, gas station, etc., take this opportunity to get a welcomed earful of tunes from around the world. Bowers Museum hosts internationally acclaimed harpist Dr. Alfredo Rolando Ortiz to their scenic grounds for a classical concert suitable for the entire family. Come delight in the songs of Kwanzaa, Hanukkah, Las Posadas, and, yes, some from Christmas and New Year's, too, all played masterly by one of the best. Dr. Ortiz will share the rich traditions of these holidays, as well as the cultural meanings of the music he plays. Don't miss this truly exceptional harp performance—it'll be all “Silent Night” muzak before we know it.
