Yes, Tootsie–an ice cream shop that just debuted on the corner of 3rd & Broadway in Historic Downtown Santa Ana–isn't just an ice cream shop; it's also a faloodeh
vendor, a bonafide bastani, which are what ice cream stores are called in Iran.
What is faloodeh? Well, it's a frigid Persian dessert with thin vermicelli-like corn-starch noodles mixed with rose water syrup, served with lime juice and ground pistachios…but don't take my word for it! Try it yourself!
