Brandon Andreen, a Costa Mesa painting contractor better known to the nation as a contestant on The Bachelorette, made a bomb threat to a General Motors plant eight years ago. ABC isn't commenting about the, uh, bombshell, so for now we are to assume the 26-year-old is still in the running for Desiree Hartsock's heart.

The National Enquirer gets the scoop on Andreen working as a telemarketer in Minnesota in 2005 when he called a GM plant in Wisconsin, identified himself as an FBI agent and claimed there was a briefcase with a “highly explosive device” in an elevator shaft.
Originally charged with a felony, Andreen pleaded down to a misdemeanor and was fined more than $1,000. “I have no comment. … It was all a misunderstanding,” he reportedly told the Enquirer.
But wait, there's more: the gossiper also reports Andreen was busted for driving under the influence in 2007, then for driving on a revoked license a few months later.
Now, I have never seen The Bachelorette, although I have seen clips on E!'s The Soup, including a recent one showing a bunch of goofy guys meeting Hartsock for the first time. Wonder if one was, in the words of the Enquirer, “the 6-foot-1 hunk?”
Given Andreen's checkered past, an “insider” is reported to have remarked, “Someone had better tell Desiree that this guy is trouble.”
